ready, set, amigurumi!

I've been pretty busy lately, going through assignments and stuff. . .
(what to do. . . short semester ><")

So I decided to relax a bit and voilà!
I saw some extremely kawaii amigurumies and decided to pick up my long neglected crochet needle again.
(though the last time I only learned how to make chains XD)

And to get started again I chose the easiest basic amigurumi pattern - a ball.

Here it is!
*Ta-dah!*
( ,, ^^,,) Nice?

Whee~~~*boing boing*

in the kitchen: fudge brownies!

Valentine's day is round the corner!
So although I have no one special to give these yummy treats, here is a quick take of me making fudge brownies from a recipe from the internet! (Whoops. . . I forgot the link ><")

FUDGE BROWNIES
Ingredients you will need
30g butter
1 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 1/4 cup sugar
3 eggs
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 pinch salt
1 1/2 cup flour
optional - chocolate chips, walnuts, almonds etc.
  1. Preheat oven to 180°C.
  2. In a big bowl, melt the butter and mix in the unsweetened cocoa powder.
  3. Then, add in the sugar.
  4. Mix the eggs in one at a time and add in salt and vanilla extract.
  5. Then, add in the flour and mix the batter well.
  6. Stir in chocolate chips, chopped walnuts or almonds according to your preference.
  7. Pour the batter into an 8-inch square pan (greased and lined with parchment paper) and smooth out the batter evenly.
  8. Bake for around 25 minutes.
  9. Test with a stick. Small crumbs should be sticking onto the stick - you want it moist, not too dry or wet.
  10. Cool the brownie and cut it into 16 squares (or whichever shapes and sizes you want)
  11. You can top it with ice-cream, chocolate ganache or any other topping you want!

I coated mine with melted semi-sweet chocolate and sprinkled on chopped almonds!

Ready to be eaten!!!
(Mine were left a little too long in the oven so they were a bit too dry ><")

Enjoy!
& Lovely Valentine's!

Om nom nom nom~

yelp, says the little puppy

Yelp yelp!

I was cleaning my room and found the cute little puppy accessory I bought when I was 13. . .
Time sure flies ~
Yeah, I'm feeling old. . .

And I wish that some day. . .
My sewing skills can improve enough for me to make something cute like this. . .
I wonder when it'll be, I'm so clumsy!

Being optimistic:
Practice makes perfect!
Yeah. . . hope so. . .

confessions...

Alright, it's actually a book titled "告白 Confessions" (read: kokuhaku) It was made into a Japanese drama film in year 2010. I have not watch the film, but the synopsis on the novel sure seems interesting, most definitely not a love confession.

However, for now, it's still sitting on the bookshelf waiting to be read but I guess it'll take some time, it's been almost 2 years since I've read a book in traditional Chinese (I would have loved to get it in Japanese but I'm a Japanese illiterate T-T)

So today, I've bought the manga version too, along with some other stationeries which includes a cute diary from Daiso & a new blue Pilot Shaker (I lost mine a few months ago)

And guess what? I finished the manga in just 2 hours (it was somewhat confusing but an interesting story with nice drawings anyway) So happy ~ ^^

Have a nice day ~
